Explanation
Unbounded consumption captures runaway token usage, uncontrolled context growth, and expensive chained operations that exceed intended operational budgets. Attackers and misuse patterns can trigger substantial financial and availability impact. This is both a security and reliability concern in production AI systems.
Remedy
Set strict token and budget limits at user, workflow, and tenant levels. Add circuit breakers for expensive operation chains and enforce early termination policies for abnormal workloads. Track cost telemetry in near real-time and automate protective controls when thresholds are exceeded.
