Explanation
IoT ecosystems include mobile apps, web interfaces, cloud APIs, and third-party integrations. Insecure interfaces enable device compromise, data theft, and unauthorized control. Common weaknesses include missing authentication, injection vulnerabilities, insecure API design, and weak session management across the ecosystem.
Remedy
Implement proper authentication and authorization for all ecosystem interfaces. Validate and sanitize all input. Use secure communication channels with certificate validation. Implement rate limiting and abuse detection for APIs.
